Optical Illusions

An optical illusion (also called a visual illusion) is characterized by visually perceived images that differ from objective reality. The information gathered by the eye is processed in the brain to give a percept that does not tally with a physical measurement of the stimulus source. There are three main types: literal optical illusions that create images that are different from the objects that make them, physiological ones that are the effects on the eyes and brain of excessive stimulation of a specific type (brightness, tilt, color, movement), and cognitive illusions where the eye and brain make unconscious inferences.

Don’t distress yourself if you don’t see the effect described, even if trying carefully. For many illusions, there is a small percentage of people with perfectly normal vision who just don’t see it, for reasons currently unknown.

Transformers 1 & 2 Wallpapers

Transformers 1

The movie opens with Optimus Prime narrating the history of the Cube, the Allspark, and how its origins were unknown, and where ever it traveled it created life, even on Cybertron. Their society flourished, until they were betrayed by Megatron, and war erupted over the Allspark, which was eventually lost in space and ended up on an unknown planet, Earth.

Trandformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen

The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.

Victoria's Secret - Fashion Show 2008

Victoria's Secret is an American retailer of women's wear, lingerie and beauty products. It is the largest segment of publicly-traded Limited Brands with sales surpassing US$5 billion and an operating income of $1 billion in 2006. Victoria's Secret is known for its fashion shows and catalogs, which feature top fashion models.

Here is the photos taken from the Victoria's Secret - Fashion Show 2008. Present are the VS Angels. "Victoria's Secret Angels" are the brand's most visible models and spokeswomen. The VS Angels made their début in 1999 in the fourth annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Daniela Pestova, Karen Mulder, Laetitia Casta, Heidi Klum, Stephanie Seymour, and Tyra Banks are among the "Angels" from the original promotion. In May 2007, the Victoria's Secret Angels, including Adriana Lima, Selita Ebanks, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart, and Karolina Kurkova were chosen to be part of People Magazine's annual "100 Most Beautiful People in the World" issue. On November 13, 2007, Victoria's Secret Angels became the first trademark awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 'Angels' are among the world's best-paid models. Grab it if you want it.

Abstract Collection

Here are some abstract wallpapers found. It is a collection of different pictures, mostly edited, that depicts wide variety of mind creativity. There were about 27 wallpapers with ".jpg" file extensions. Though this may be an electronic abstracts, but the art of the picture depicted were nice.

In addition, abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Although abstract art like Western art had been, from the Renaissance up to the middle of the 19th century, underpinned by the logic of perspective and an attempt to reproduce an illusion of visible reality. The arts of cultures other than the European had become accessible and showed alternative ways of describing visual experience to the artist. By the end of the 19th century many artists felt a need to create a new kind of art which would encompass the fundamental changes taking place in technology, science and philosophy. The sources from which individual artists drew their theoretical arguments were diverse, and reflected the social and intellectual preoccupations in all areas of Western culture at that time.
